Democratic incumbent Judge Eleazar Cano decided to run for a second term, saying, “Public service is a calling. Those who talk themselves out of it are ultimately doing a disservice to their community. As such, I am announcing my intent to run for the office of Brewster County judge.”
Emergency Management Coordinator David Lambrix will go for the Pct. 2 seat being vacated by Hugh Garret, who decided not to seek reelection. Lambrix will run on the Democratic ticket.
