Craig Nance will start as McDonald Observatory’s Superintendent on January 5. Nance comes to McDonald from Arizona, where he has served as Director of The University of Arizona’s Mount Graham International Observatory. Prior to that, he was Operations Engineering Manager at the W.M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii. From 1997 to 2000, he worked at McDonald Observatory. One of his positions was Facility Manager of the Hobby-Eberly Telescope.
