Kloey Painter started as the new AgriLife extension agent for Brewster and Jeff Davis counties. She moved here from Throckmorton County where she was the Agrilife extension agent for 14 months. The biggest thing agents do is youth and adult agriculture education,” said Painter.

She previously visited the region with an internship at Texas Parks and Wildlife. After that, she knew she wanted to work in Alpine. With her own experience in 4-H, Painter went to school at Texas Tech to pursue a career that would further agriculture in Texas. “Agriculture is my absolute passion, and I’m going to do everything I can to make this successful and to listen to the people,” said Painter.
