The fear of violence from drug cartels has waned in the last two years and Alpine tour coordinator Jim Glendinning plans four tours to Mexico this year.
The Copper Canyon trip will be from March 13 to 19 and it is quickly filling up, he said. The Casas Grandes trip will be March 6 to 10. One more trip each will be scheduled in the fall with dates to be announced.
“Mexico is now safe, at least where we go,” he said.
