JTM Newspapers has purchased the assets of the Alpine Avalanche.
JTM is owned by JT Maroney and his wife, Shelley.
Maroney got his start working in the newspaper business in Alpine in the early 2000s. He fell in love with the community and area and came back several times.
“My personal love affair with Alpine started in the fall of 2001. I had the opportunity to move to this beautiful country to attend Sul Ross State University,” Maroney said.
