Hospital district helps fund ground ambulance service

By December 22, 2015No Comments

Patients who need a level of health care beyond what Big Bend Regional Medical Center provides now can travel out of the area by ground ambulance.

The option potentially saves lives in the event of inclement weather grounding the aircraft that have been until recently the only transportation option.

The service also has the potential to save patients and their insurers, including the Big Bend Regional Hospital District, tens of thousands of dollars for the cost of the flights.
