District tapped to run new health program

The hospital district board voted to approve $10,000 in “seed money” to help pay start-up expenses and Texas’ Dept. of State Health Services is funding the project with $25,000.

Haley said that district’s patient advocates are implementing a case-management system to help improve patient outcomes and control expenses, which complements the Office of Border Health’s objectives.
