Cowboy poets tell stories of bad broncs and ranch romances

Bill Brooks, an organizer since the beginning, said Alpine’s proven formula for delivering cowboy poetry will not be changing.

“It’s a family event and we don’t deviate from that. It’s not about drinking songs and easy women. It’s to celebrate the culture and preserve the traditions of the American West,” Brooks said.

“The concept is unchanged. We are proud of the fact that we are authentic. The people we invite have their roots in ranch life,” he added.
