The Trappings of Texas exhibition and sale at the Museum of the Big Bend has the well-earned reputation as the longest running exhibit and sale of traditional cowboy gear and Western art. The Museum of the Big Bend is on the campus of Sul Ross State University, which is the birthplace of the NIRA and home to one of the country’s most successful college rodeo programs.
